Shredding Event

This year’s first township-sanctioned shredding event will be held on Saturday, April 11th, and will again be situated at the rear of the Township’s Administration Building, located at 401 Main Street, between the hours of 9:00 am and 12:00 pm.

As always, our bi-annual free shredding events are open to Gloucester County residents only. It’s a great opportunity for residents to rid themselves of confidential paper documents in a safe, secure, and convenient manner. As a former police chief, I can’t emphasize enough the importance of properly destroying documents with confidential information, such as bank and credit card statements, old checks, loan documents, tax returns, and insurance documents, to name a few. This initiative helps to prevent against identity theft and other crime, and at the same time encourages responsible recycling and keeps our community clean.

We bring a commercial-grade shredding unit to our site. These are drive-up programs where you are able to witness your documents being shredded to assure complete destruction.

Again, our shredding events are free of charge and are at no expense to the local taxpayer. Recycling grant monies pay for this free service.

Material to be shredded is limited to paper only; however, paper clips and staples are acceptable. No plastic, plastic bags, cardboard, or binder clips are allowed.

If you miss this one, the second shredding event of 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, September 12th, from 9:00 am until 12 pm at the same location.
