Our Mission

The mission of the Mantua Township Economic Development Department is to create positive partnerships in the spirit of progress by seeking out and addressing the economic development needs of our community through outreach, creativity, perseverance, partnerships and cooperation.

Ron Concordia – Member (Vice-Chairman)

Ron was born and raised in Mantua Township. Ron attended J. Mason Tomlin Elementary School and completed his high school education in 1984 from Clearview Regional High School with a vocational focus in auto body repair.

Ron began his career in the automotive industry at the young age of 12 working with his father in the auto body and mechanical repair business, known as Mantua Collision Inc. The family has owned and operated businesses in Mantua Township for over 47 years.  Ron is currently a partner with his father, Ron Sr. Ron has attended PPG school for auto painting to enhance his auto body painting skills and his work has been featured in the PPG Paint Reporter and also NMRA Magazine and advertisements.  Ron continues to build his knowledge in this field with yearly educational classes and seminars.

Ron has been a member of the Mantua Township Economic Development Committee for 19 years. Ron has been a member of Incarnation Church for over 50 years. Ron has continued to reside in Mantua township with his wife, Maureen and their 10-year-old daughter, Gianna.


Karen Cook – Member (Secretary)

Karen Cook is a Branch Manager at Fulton Bank of NJ Mantua Office. She joined the organization in 1996 while attending Rowan University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a specialization in Public Relations. In 2006, Karen opened the Williamstown Branch. In December 2011, Karen was promoted to Vice President/Branch Manager of the Mantua Office. At that time, she also assumed additional responsibilities as a Small Business Lender. In 2013, Karen was named one of SJBA 2013 Best Rising Stars Under 40. She previously served as treasurer of the Williamstown Sunrise Rotary Club and also participated in the Woodbury Chamber of Commerce “Dancing with the Gloucester County Stars” fundraiser in 2012, where she raised over $21,000 for her charity.

Susan Baldwin – Member

Susan has worked for Mantua Township for 11 years and has been a Mantua resident for over 32 years. Prior to working in Construction she was a Certified Tax Assessing Clerk as well as an Administrative Clerk and currently serves on the Mantua Economic Development Committee and Rent Leveling Board. Susan has an extensive background in  retail services on many levels. She is a published freelance writer as well as a an award winning competitive amateur photographer.

Butch Bruner – Member (Chairman)

Butch Bruner has been a Mantua resident for over 17 years.  Presently Chairperson of Mantua Township Economic Development Committee, currently a Member and Chairperson of the Gloucester County Utilities Authority. Served 25 years as a Glassboro Council Member and a President of Council for several of those years. Honorably discharged U.S. Army Veteran. Presently appointed as an Alternate Member of Mantua Township Utilities Authority. Retired Area Manager from New Jersey Bell, Bell Atlantic, and AT & T after 35 years of service.



Robert Zimmerman – Municipal Liaison to the MTEDC – Deputy Mayor

Born and raised in Gloucester County, Deputy-Mayor Bob Zimmerman has resided in Mantua Township since 1992 with his wife, Diane and two daughter’s, Brittany and Ashley.

He was appointed to the Mantua Township Committee in June 2008 and has served as an elected member since that time.  Prior to serving on the Township Committee, he served as a Mantua Township School Board member from 2003 thru 2008, holding both President and Vice President positions. He was also a member of the Mantua Township Planning Board from 2004-2006 and from 2008-2011.

The Deputy-Mayor serves as the Liaison to Department of Public Works; Public Buildings and Grounds; Recreation and Senior Services; Economic Development; Finance; Municipal Alliance; and is a member of the Public Safety Committee and Patriot Day Sub-Committee.

Deputy-Mayor Zimmerman was employed by the Pitman Police Department for almost 26 years, and served administratively as both the Captain of Police and Chief of Police for 16 years prior to retiring in January 2016.

Deputy-Mayor Zimmerman earned his Bachelor’s degree from Rowan University in 1999 and a Master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Public Administration in 2003.  He is a graduate of the NJSACOP West Point Command and Leadership Program; a graduate of the N.J. Certified Public Managers Program; and a graduate of the FBI National Academy – Session #227.


Bill Krebs – Municipal Shared Service Partner with Mantua Twp./Executive Director MUA

Bill Krebs is a former Elected Official with over 24 years of Municipal and County government experience including 7 years as a County Freeholder, 6 years as a Councilman & Deputy Mayor, 10 years on a Municipal Utilities Authority Board (8 years as Chairman), 2 years as a Municipal Administrator, 13 years as a member of the Gloucester County Construction Board of Appeals and currently (since 2009) Executive Director of the Mantua Township MUA.  Prior to Bill’s work in government he was an Information Technology Professional with experience in the Pharmaceutical and Industrial Chemical sectors.
