Emergency Management protects our community by coordinating and integrating all activities necessary to build, sustain, and improve our capability to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from threatened or actual natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other man-made disasters.


The Biggest Help in any Emergency is You. Plan Ahead so You and Your Family are Prepared.

  • Get an Emergency Kit
  • Have a predetermined location to stay in the case you need to evacuate your home
  • Have a predetermined plan for your pets. Many are not allowed in shelters
  • Stay informed. Register with Nixle, and follow Mantua Twp. Facebook’s page
  • Register for the Twp. Special Needs Registry

Items to Consider for your Emergency Kit

  • Three days’ supply of canned, non-perishable, ready-to-eat?food
  • Three days’ supply of water (a total of?three gallons per family member)
  • Battery-operated radio and extra batteries
  • Flashlight and extra batteries
  • One week’s?prescription medications
  • First aid kit
  • Personal?toiletries
  • Non-electric?can opener and utensils
  • Store important documents in a waterproof, safe location
  • Generator if your house depends on well water or sump pump
