On May 21st, Mantua came together in a meaningful display of patriotism and respect during an inaugural Flag Retirement Ceremony hosted by the Mantua VFW Post 7679.
Joining the students and veterans were Mayor Bob Zimmerman, Committeeman John Legge and Police Chief Bill Murphy who presented a flag for retirement and showed their unwavering support for our veterans, our community and for educating future generations. Thank you to Commander Charles Thorp and our Veterans Commission Chairman
Joe Heitman along with all the members of Mantua VFW Post 7679 and Kevin Hale and the Auxiliary for hosting this important ceremony and for continuing to educate and inspire our youth through service, patriotism and community involvement.
