Gloucester County and the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) are developing multiple options for a 3-to-5-mile multi-use path, proposed from Glassboro Borough, through Pitman Borough, to Edelman Fossil Park & Museum in Mantua Township. The Dinosaur Trail will serve as the spine for Gloucester County’s multi-use trail network. It will offer safe, active transportation for residents, provide direct walking and biking access to local destinations, help alleviate traffic congestion, and connect seamlessly to existing local and regional trails including the Circuit Trail systems across South Jersey and Greater Philadelphia.
The project hosted its second Public Information Center (PIC) on Tuesday 29 September 2026 at the Edelman Fossil Park & Museum. The meeting introduced the preferred alternative which is a hybrid of the options presented at the first public meeting. For anyone who was unable to attend, either in person or virtually, the County is pleased to share all presentation materials online for the next 30 days. When the project enters the Engineering phase, additional public outreach will take place.
The project team will continue to update the “The Dinosaur Trail, NJ” Facebook page with the most recent information.
