🚧 ROAD IMPROVEMENT NOTICE – MICRO SURFACING PROJECT (ROYAL OAKS NEIGHBORHOOD) 🚧

Beginning Thursday, July 16, Mantua Township’s contractor, Asphalt Paving Systems, will begin micro surfacing roadways in the Royal Oaks neighborhood as part of our annual roadway preservation program. This preventative maintenance helps extend the life of our streets and provides a smoother driving surface.

Thursday, July 16

Roads Scheduled:
• Kettlewood Court
• Tallowood Court
• Brookview Drive
• Westwood Drive
• Aspenwood Court
• Willowbend Drive
• Royal Oaks Drive (Maplewood Lane to Mt. Royal Road) – Traffic will be maintained with cones and flaggers.
• Royal Oaks Drive (Crestmont Drive to Jackson Road) – Traffic will be maintained with cones and flaggers.

Parking Information

All vehicles must be removed from the roadway before 8:00 AM.

Residents on Kettlewood Court, Tallowood Court, Brookview Drive, and Westwood Drive:
Please park on Oakton Drive before 8:00 AM if you will need to leave or return home during the day.

Residents on Aspen Court and Willowbend Drive:
Please park on Royal Oaks Drive before 8:00 AM if you will need to leave or return home during the day.

These neighborhood streets will be closed to vehicular traffic between approximately 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM while the micro surfacing is completed and allowed to cure.

🗑️ Trash & Recycling
Trash and recycling will be collected as regularly scheduled beginning at 6:00 AM. Please place your containers at the curb as usual.

Friday, July 17

Roads Scheduled:
• Oakton Drive
• Royal Oaks Drive (Traffic will continue to be maintained with cones and flaggers to allow residents access through the area.)

Parking Information

Residents on Oakton Drive:
Please park on Jackson Road or Westwood Drive before 8:00 AM if you anticipate needing to leave or return home during the day.

Oakton Drive will be closed to traffic between approximately 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM while work is completed and the surface cures.

🗑️ Trash & Recycling
Trash and recycling collection will continue on its normal schedule beginning at 6:00 AM.

Looking Ahead – Phase Two

The second phase of the Township’s micro surfacing program is anticipated to begin early this fall and will include:

  • Candlewood Lane
    • Cottonwood Court
    • Applewood Court
    • Woodcrest Court
    • Maplewood Lane
    • Woodleigh and Woodmont Court
    • Birchwood Lane

Residents on these streets will receive additional information, including work schedules, parking instructions, and project details, closer to the start of construction.
