Township Committee adopts 2018 budget with no municipal tax increase

At their June 18th Committee meeting, Mantua Township Committee adopted the Township’s 2018 budget of $ 14,257,044.25 with no local tax increase. The municipal tax represents approximately 21% of the Mantua tax dollar with the school district at 54% and the County at 22% and Fire District at 3%.  The 2018 Capital Program will include $500,000.00 towards repaving and reconstruction of McAnnaly Drive, Fairview Drive, Fawn Drive and Hart Lane. Additional capital items included in the plan will be a Medium light duty dump truck for Public Works, new roof for the Public Works facility, upgrades to the security system at the Police Department. Chestnut Branch Park will receive funding towards the walking path lights and additional irrigation. Both Chestnut Branch and McCarson Park will be receiving new playground equipment.  We are extremely proud of our quality municipal services, including our amazing park system, resources available to our Seniors, and our unparalleled Recreation Commission which hosts our community events and family friendly outings, and most importantly, the services and protection that is provided by the officers in our Police Department.
